Mr. John Bundrick
My name is Johnny Bundrick and I am going to be your child’s physical education teacher this year. I have been teaching for 17 years and I am currently beginning my 18th year here at RSM. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina at Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education, a Master’s of Science in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy, and I am currently working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Liberty University. I am married and I have five children: Kailey 24, Mackenzie 18, Cayden 17, Riley 15 and Bennett 10. My amazing wife Mindy and I live in Batesburg and our children attend Lexington 3 schools. My oldest daughter Kailey is a second-generation teacher teaching History at Union County High School, along with my son-in-law who teaches PE and coaches baseball. Mackenzie is a freshman at the College of Charleston as a Biology major with a pre-med concentration.
I also coach varsity football at RSM High where I work with the offensive line and defensive line. I have been coaching football here at RSM for a total of 15 years. I spend my spare time supporting my children's activities and volunteering as an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 29 in Batesburg-Leesville. In being an Eagle Scout myself I try to drive home responsibility, dependability and leadership in my students.
Your child will be taught using the South Carolina Physical Education Standards and will explore a variety of different activities as the year progresses. My goal here at RSM is to not only develop children with strong minds, but also strong bodies and character. I use physical education to give them the tools to become healthy and physically active, and to be moral and productive citizens of our RSM community. I look forward to working with you and your child this upcoming year!
