Welcome to Warrenville Elementary! We are tracking success! I am thrilled to serve as the assistant principal at Warrenville Elementary and look forward to all the amazing learning experiences and successes we will have this school year.
Prior to this year, for the first 18 years of my career, I served as an elementary school teacher. I have served as a Literacy Coach at Byrd Elementary School from 2014-2022. I have a profound love of reading and thrive from seeing students develop their own love of reading.
My husband, Brian, and I have two children. Our son Brian Jr. is a USC graduate and is currently a fifth grade teacher. Our daughter, Carolyn, is a junior at USC and is majoring in music. She is also in the USC Marching Band. Dexter is our fur baby that loves to play catch with his ball, and he loves having a bath! We all love our South Carolina Gamecocks! (Dexter has his own game day tie!)
I am proud to say I attended Aiken County Public Schools for my K-12 education, including Gloverville Elementary, Leavelle McCampbell Middle School, and Midland Valley High School. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Master of Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Education from Lesley University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina.
I am excited to serve the faculty, staff, students, and parents of Warrenville Elementary. I have an open-door policy, and I welcome your questions, comments, and concerns at any time. You can call me at (803) 663-4270, email me at jyonn@acpsd.net, or stop by the office.
I look forward to a remarkable school year!
