A little about me... this is my 22nd year of molding young minds.  I look forward to starting a new adventure this year--I will be teaching in the math lab with all 2nd through 5th graders, and I will be working with a small group of 1st through 5th graders to help boost confidence in math and work on certain math topics covered in their homeroom classes. We will be focusing on fact fluency, problem solving, and boosting that "math morale". :)

I am a product of Redcliffe Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Silver Bluff High School, as is my son, so I am no stranger to the wonderful things that are happening in this community and in these schools. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina at Aiken and my Master's Degree in Creative Arts in Education from Lesley University.  I want your child to enjoy coming to school each and every day, and would like to help make your child's time here at Redcliffe pleasant and filled with rich experiences, challenging projects, loads of achievements, and lasting friendships.  In order to accomplish this task, I feel it is particularly important to develop and maintain a year of classroom involvement with our parents and families.  You will be the first to know whether your child is enjoying school, whether your child needs special attention in a specific subject, or whether your child's relationship with a friend is affecting his/her academic development. My commitment to your child's success is genuine, and parent involvement is essential to your child's education--both academically and behaviorally.  It is important for us to build a strong relationship with one another for several reasons: to motivate, nurture, and support your child, to build self-esteem in your child, to reach common goals together, to work through difficulties that may arise throughout this new and challenging year, and to make sure that your child learns and becomes responsible.  I invite you to participate in your child's education as much as possible, and I thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and for your involvement this year!
