Welcome to Leavelle McCampbell Middle School Athletics, the home of the MIGHTY ROCKS!
Leavelle McCampbell Middle is able to provide competitve sports for students that include: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Golf. We look forward to your student-athlete participating with us this school year in their sport, or sports, of choice.
Rock Athletics are proud to provide the opportunity for young individuals to compete in athletics at the middle school level.
We are excited about our ongoing athletic events and encourage our community to support our teams as they compete in Aiken County. Below are the expectations to which we hold our student-athletes accountable.
Our LMMS Expectations for Student-Athletes are as follows:
- Respect teammates, classmates, and school personnel at all times.
- You are a Student-Athlete. STUDENT comes first! Work hard in the classroom.
- Maintain an appropriate attitude and appearance at all times.
- Give 100% at practice and games.

Coach Carson Leshin - LMMS Athletic Director
Degrees and Certifications:
Associate's Degree in Physical Education from Antelope Valley College (CA) Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Charleston Southern University
Mr. Carson Leshin
Carson Leshin is the Athletic Director for Leavelle McCampbell Middle School.
Mr. Leshin is originally from California where he grew up playing sports. He played basketball from the age of five through his senior year of high school. He also played football during all four years of high school.
After two years of playing football at a local Junior College, Carson accepted a full scholarship to play at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina. He played two years at CSU and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology.
After ending his athletic career at CSU, Carson wanted to still be involved with athletics. He decided to become a teacher through the Program for Alternative Certification for Educators (PACE).
Mr. Leshin focused on Physical Education as his subject area. He was hired on at Leavelle McCampbell Middle in July of 2015.
Along with teaching Physical Education and serving as the school's Athletic Director, Coach Leshin is an assistant coach on the LMMS football team and head coach of the boys' basketball team. During his first two years as the head coach for the boys' basketball team, they have won back-to-back county championships with an overall 29-3 record during those two years.
Coach Leshin also became a member of the Middle School Athletics Task Force for the South Carolina High School League. He serves on the task force with fellow athletic directors and principals as they examine and create new rules and regulations for middle school athletics in the state of South Carolina.

This document provides parents/guardians and student-athletes with the information required by the school prior to the student's participation in athletics.
Student athletes are expected to exhibit leadership on and off the playing area. A signed copy of our Athletic Policy must be on file for each student athlete.
Concussions can lead to life-altering or life-threatening circumstances and its important to us that student athletes and their parent/guardian is aware of the risk of brain injury with contact sports and understands the evaluation procedures requiring medical evaluation for a suspected concussion.
