Hello!  My name is Ms. Mears.  Welcome to 4-K. I have been teaching in Aiken County for the past 29 years.  I will begin my 30th year of teaching in Aiken County.  I love teaching 4-K because the students are so excited to learn, are full of wonder, and are happy to be around!  I believe that all children are capable of learning.  It is my job to provide an environment that is conducive to learning. I know how important it is for parents to be involved in the learning process.  As we move forward this year, I look forward to working with each child and parent on this journey.  It is my goal to see every child succeed this school year. We are going to have a great year ahead of us.

In my spare time, I love to go to the beach and spend time with my family and friends. I love to read, kayak, and fish.  I am a member of the Sunshine Garden Club in Aiken.  They have sponsored a garden for my students at Greendale. We have grown many items, such as lettuce, carrots, radishes, pumpkins, zinnias, marigold, and sunflowers.   

I have three children who are grown and we love spending time together when we can.  They all graduated from South Aiken High School.  

This is going to be a great year!
