Hello, my name is Cassie Mckie and this is my 12th year teaching.  I have taught fifth and third grade and this is my seventh year teaching second grade.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have lived in the south since 2009, where my family now resides in Graniteville.  My husband's name is Cardell and we have a seven-year-old daughter named Layla and a four-year-old daughter named Skylar.  I have a fourteen-year-old stepdaughter named Akira and she is in the 9th grade in Augusta, GA. After school, I head over to South Aiken High School where I'm the head volleyball coach.  I'm in my eighth season at South Aiken, but I'm in my 13th year of coaching.  I am Region V-AAAA Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2019. I am Millbrook Elementary's 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year.  I love teaching and developing a community of life-long learners, readers, thinkers and writers. I look forward to working with you this year!
