Dear 8th Graders,
This academic year has been one that none of us will ever forget! On Friday, March 13th, when we left JMS at the end of the school day we had no idea that life as we knew it would change. We were thrust into a time of uncertainty and confusion, yet we have persevered and managed to make it to the end of the academic year.
This time that we have spent separated has helped us to realize how important our school community is to us and how valuable time is to us. One of my many quotes to you this year has been to use your time wisely, and I continue to challenge to use your time wisely. Some of us have had the opportunity to self-reflect on our career as students and found that we did not use our time as wisely as we should have. As you venture forward academically and in life, ALWAYS remember to use your time wisely and make every minute count.
As you leave us and begin your high school career, do know that we did our best to prepare you for this moment and beyond. Yes, we may have seemed mean and tough, but know that this tough love was nothing more than us getting you prepared for these moments in your lives and beyond. Although we were only together in the classroom for a semester and a half, know that we at JMS truly care about you and want nothing but the best and successful futures for you.
My challenge to you is to live life, love life, and be happy. And of course, make sure you use your time wisely, and use those reading, learning, and testing strategies that I taught you 😊
All your memories.
All your dreams.
All who love you.
All you need.
Best of luck in ALL your endeavors!
