The 2019-2020 school year has arrived and I am pleased to be your child's 5th grade teacher. I am coming back to fifth grade after spending roughly eight years  in third and second.  My goal is to see that each child succeeds to his or her ability.  In working together we will give your child a positive learning experience. I appreciate and don't take for granted the opportunity to teach your child and look forward to assisting him or her to awesome  learning experiences in 5th grade.

I am Tamara Butler.  I've had the pleasure of teaching here at Hammond Hill for the past 21 years and I anticipate this 22nd being as prosperous as the past. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University,  as well as  a Masters degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. I've been on this education journey for 22 1/2  years. The journey began in my hometown of Sumter, SC where I taught both 1st (a half year) and 7th grades.  Upon moving to North Augusta and here at Hammond Hill, I have taught 5th, 3rd,2nd. 

I am married to Tim Butler and we have three amazing sons - Timothy Kyland, who attends South Carolina State University, Trenton Spencer a freshman at Claflin University and Trey Bryson in the 11th grade at Fox Creek High School. Outside of school, I am super family oriented and enjoy my church family at Old Storm Branch Baptist.
