Mrs. Ginger Pope
Welcome to the Pope/Witt All Star Team!
The 2018-2019 school year will be my 12th year of teaching Math and Science at Hammond Hill Elementary. Both classes this year are Gifted and Talented. Math includes all fourth grade standards, along with many fifth grade standards. I am excited to be team teaching with Chris Witt again this year. Chris will be teaching English/Language Arts and Social Studies. Both of our classes use Class Dojo, a positive behavior system. It is a great way to keep up with what is going on in our classes. We both love to add pictures to Class Story on Dojo so you can see the amazing things our kids are doing in our classrooms.
HHE is embarking on its second year of the Leader in Me. As a member of the Lighthouse Team, I will be leading an action team on student achievement. Tracking student data with kids is one of my favorite things to do. There is nothing more satisfying than helping kids monitor their progress and achieve their goals. This year we will continue learning how to be proactive and will embrace the 7 habits of effective leaders.
When I'm not at Hammond Hill, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three daughters who all attended HHE, as did my husband and myself! My youngest child, Ashley, is a senior at USC-A. She is studying Education. My two older daughters are both teachers. Katie teaches 4th grade in Columbia, S.C. and Heather is a kindergarten teacher at Belvedere Elementary. Teaching is a family passion. I'm an avid football fan and love playing tennis in my spare time.
The fastest and easiest way to reach me is through Class Dojo. I'm always open for communication. My planning period is from 8:45-9:35, but I can be reached prior to school and after school as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
I'm looking forward to a fabulous year!
