Welcome to Second Grade!  My name Mandy Pond and I have been teaching for 24 years.  I am a graduate of Clemson University (Go Tigers!) and received my Masters degree in Creative Arts/Curriculum Learning from Lesley University. I am married to Brad Pond and we have four boys.  Andrew is in 12th grade at North Augusta High School, Garrett is in 11th grade at NAHS, Miles is a 7th grader at Paul Knox Middle School, and Luke is in 3rd grade here at HHE. Over my career, I have taught second grade at Redcliffe Elementary (1998-2002), Hammond Hill (2002-2005), and Mossy Creek (2005-2008). I then took some time off to be with my children and taught 3K and 4K part time at Grace CDC. In 2011, I came back to Hammond Hill teaching kindergarten for 2 years, first grade for 3 years and this is my 7th year back in second grade. I was Teacher of the Year for HHE for the 2021-22 school year. Teaching is my passion. I am thrilled I get to share it with you and your family!
