Hello, I'm Ms. Brighthop, one of the special education teachers here at North Aiken Elementary.  It is a passion of mine to encourage and uplift others in spite of the "labels" and stereotypes that have been placed on them.  I am not just an educator of academic skills but of social, behavioral, and emotional skills as well.  I have learned in my years of teaching that the teacher is not the only "teacher" in the classroom.  My students teach me things every single day.  It is my responsibility to aide my students in making their best choices no matter what obstacles they face and to learn and grow from them.
