I am very excited about teaching music at Aiken Elementary School! I love singing and making music with my students.
I am a graduate of Columbia College and the University of South Carolina and have taught elementary general music for 28 years. I am National Board Certified and have worked with music education students at the School of Music at UofSC-Columbia and UofSC-Aiken for many years as a mentor and cooperating teacher. Prior to teaching at Aiken El, I taught in Richland School District Two in Columbia for 24 years.
I am married and have 2 great stepchildren  - one at Aiken High and one at Aiken Intermediate. When I am not singing in my classroom, you can find me cheering for the Gamecocks, being a part of community theater, and spending time with my family and pomeranian.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about music at Aiken El. My email address is I am available between 2:30 and 3:00 for phone conferences at 803-641-2740.
