I am thrillled to be teaching at Aiken Intermediate School this year exploring music, chorus, and ukuleles with our sixth graders! I have been teaching for 24 plus years as a Music Educator in Lexington, Greenville, and Aiken County Public School Districts. I have four children, two dogs, and one crazy husband!
As we are working together through this pandemic and missing days of our time together in the music classroom, please find some resources here on my site that you can be doing if you get bored and have the time.
We are still working on genres in music and have touched on Jazz and the Blues. Remember how is easy it is to write your own Blues? SAME, SAME, Diffferent. (AAB form). You can go to the Gulletnet or Knowitall site for the music to add to your blues! Links and simple instructions are on my Resource page entitled "Out of school Blues." There are more activities for you to explore. Find these resources here on my site (Resources tab located to the left of my page) and check them out. The same resources/activities with instructions are located in Schoology. Just look for your music class there.
I am available to chat online on school days from 9:00-11:00am and from 1:00-3:00pm. My Google Phone number is (803) 336-3768 for anyone who would like to call with concerns or questions.
Here is how to chat with me via teleconference: Dial this number (425) 436-6322 and then enter the access code 861634.
We will be together in heart since we are unable to be together 'til April! Stay safe!
