Hello Parents and Students,

Welcome to another great year at AIS! I'm excited to begin the Capturing Kids Hearts program at our school this year.

This year will be my 21st year teaching, 16th in Aiken County. I teach Read180 and Learning Strategies. I aslo serve as the Department Chair for Special Education and as a Lead Teacher for the School District. 

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA where I earned my degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of PA.

I have one son, Connor, who attends North Augusta High School and plays the trumpet and guitar for the Jacket Regiment. I aslo have a black cat, named Midnight. 

My favorite books to read are the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, and the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins
