Hello Parents and Students,
I am excited to make the move from Kennedy and begin at AIS this year! I will contintue to teach Read 180 and Learning Strategies. This is my 19th year teaching, and my 14th year teaching in Aiken County. I am a District Lead Teacher and Lead Mentor, and Special Education Dept. Chair for AIS. I will also serve on the Youth Developement Team this year.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA where I attended the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of PA for Elementary Education and Special Education. I am highly qualified in all subject areas and grades K-6. I love my Pittsburgh sports teams! I have one child, Connor, who will be a freshman at NAHS.
Favorite Books for kids: The Harry Potter series by JK Rowling and "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio
My favorite books are "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch and "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
The best way to reach me is by email, and I can meet with parents by appointment. Students can pre-arrange to stay afterschool with me if they need help with their classwork.
