Mrs. Robin Falin

Hello,

My name is Robin Falin.   I will be teaching Psychology, Sociology and US Government.

The 2022-2023 school year was my 24th year in Aiken County Public Schools.  I am looking forward to another exciting year.

I am a transplant to South Carolina.  In 1986, I married my husband, and we moved here from Tennessee.  We have two grown daughters and both are happily married.  Our older daughter is a registered dietician and nutritionist at the Veterans Affairs in Virginia.  She has just started her masters at Rutgers University in Library Science.  Her dream job is to be an archivist for the National Park Service.   Our younger daughter, who lives locally, is a fabuluous bridal consultant  at a local bridal salon, and has blessed us with a grandson and a granddaughter; they keep us busy and laughing.  Our grandson, who is in the 1st grade, has dreams of being an inventor, YouTuber game designer, and has great aspirations to do whatever he wants when he is grown.  Our granddaughter, who is  two, will make a dance party out of any situation, just give her a beat and she's moving. She is fun to be around.

This past summer, I  spent as much time with my mom and my grandchild. My mom, who has been diagnosed with a form of fast progressing Dementia, was moved to a memory care facility as her health is  declining.  My grandchildren are growing fast, so I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible.  One thing that is truly important to me, is family.

I love teaching.  I am a lifelong learner and I learn a lot from my students.  Each day is a new day and  my philosophy is that each day everyone starts with a clean slate, because we all make mistakes and deserve a fresh start.

My schedule for 2022/23 is

1st and 2nd period US Government

3rd Planning

4th Sociology

5th and 6th Psychology

7th Planning
