Ms. Dawn Anderson

Welcome to North Augusta High School! I am very excited about sharing this school year with you! My name is Dawn Anderson. I was born and raised in Canfield, Ohio, and moved to Aiken, South Carolina in 2008. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education/English from Youngstown State University, which is located in Youngstown, Ohio. Following graduation, I returned to Youngstown State to complete my reading certification. In 2015, I earned my Master of Educational Technology degree from The University of South Carolina, Aiken campus, where I also earned Gifted and Talented endorsement. I spent my first year teaching at Ridge-Spring Monetta High School, then joined the staff at North Augusta High School in 2009. I have previously taught English II CP, English IV CP and Gifted and Talented, and this year will be my seventh year teaching Secondary Literacy using the Read 180 program. I will continue to serve as the secondary level Read 180 lead teacher for Aiken County Public Schools. I also am the adviser of Sandspurs, our school's yearbook, and I teach summer school. When I am not working, I enjoy being outside, spending time with family and friends, reading books, doing craft projects, and my favorite activity-watching my son play football. Go Jackets!
