Mr. John Hostetler

I am originally from Berlin, Pennsylvania, a small rural town within the western Pennsylvania Appalachian Mountains.  I graduated high school from Berlin Brothersvalley where I traveled to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where I studied both Secondary Education and Applied Mathematics. After receiving my undergraduate degrees I traveled to Aiken South Carolina where I teach for the Aiken County School District. During my time at Midland Valley I have had the pleasure of attaining my MSEd in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment as well as a M.Ed focusing on Educational Leadership. 




Currently I have a student teacher who has taken over the role as teacher of all of my classes this semester.  Her introduction can be seen below:


Dear Students and Parents,


My name is Alyson Cromer.  I am currently pursuing a degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics at USC-Aiken, which I will receive at the end of the semester.    I am interning this semester.  Therefore, I will be teaching and conducting all teaching duties under the direction of Mr. Hostetler, starting January 15th until the end of February.  To know a little more about me, I grew up in Monetta, South Carolina and graduated high school from Ridge Spring- Monetta.  I have a dog named Marsha, who is a Parsons Terrier.  In addition, I love to travel I have been to Mexico, Canada, England, and France.  Most importantly, I am looking forward to teaching you all and getting to know you over the course of this semester.
