Welcome to Chorus and Music Appreciation!  

I am very thrilled to be part of the team here at Midland Valley High School and the Fine Arts Program. This is my 9th year at Midland valley.  Our focus is to celebrate voice and dance in all chorus groups.  In Music Appreciation, we will discover a wide range of music from different time periods and artists.  This will include singers, instrumentalists, composers, dancers, and much more.               

Music is a universal language that encompasses humanity. Music can be felt physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and even explained among the greatest literary greats, mathematicians and scientists. Music is found throughout the ages and is believed to heal the soul. Being a part of the Midland Valley Chorus program and adding Music Appreciation will provide the opportunity for each student to explore, experience, and grow through a broad spectrum of music that will ultimately impact each musician’s performance and the understanding of the aspects of performers.        

I have high expectations of all musicians as well as students studying musicians. I look forward to honing their skills. Every student needs to be on time and be prepared every day. Being respectful and giving your best allows you to experience the most success.
