Mr. Chris Hamilton
Chris Hamilton is starting his 4th year at South Aiken High School with 17 years of teaching and coaching experience. In the past he spent five years as a Physical Education teacher, Assistant Head Football Coach, Offensive Line Coach, and Head Strength, Speed, and Conditioning Coach at Lexington High School. As a Physical Education and as the Head Strength, Speed, and Conditioning Coach he was instrumental in Lexington High School winning two Athletic Director’s Cups. From 2001 to 2008, Hamilton served as the Offensive Line/Strength and Conditioning Coach at Myrtle Beach High School. While there he served as the Head Boys Track Coach for seven seasons and Head Wrestling Coach for three seasons. While coaching at Myrtle Beach he was part of the 2008 AAA State Championship football team. In 1997, Hamilton went to North Greenville College where he played football for two years before transfering to Coastal Carolina University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and Teacher Certification in Physical Education. Hamilton and his wife April have been married for 16 years. They have two children, Zoe (15) and Connor (9). Hamilton’s extended family has lived in Aiken for over 60 years.
