Welcome to the 2021-2022 Academic School Year!

The journey from the previous school year was quite an experience, however moving forward to our next journey into 2021-2022, it will be filled with hope. The wonderous journey will allow all of us to learn and grow together as we embrace the newness and challenges alike.

I have been teaching school for fifteen years, twelve of those at Aiken High School and have seen many students arrive with awe and depart with heartfelt feelings of success. The journey of high school is a wonderfult time to embrace the learning experience as it is the last destination before adulthood. During this time, as always reading, writing, math, and transiton skills become even more of a necessity in the quest for the high school diploma. In my classes, I strive to provide the instruction, compassion, the structure and the material that will help each student as they move forward in their bright futures.

The road to learning in my class may not always be embraced, but I understand that diligence sometimes comes with avoidance when task become difficult. My commitment is to do the "possible" and set the example as to what is expected and follow through with actions to match my words. Communication is key and I hope each student will feel confident in sharing when they need assistance and/or when feeling overwhelmed. I am a teacher, but I am also a mother and a human being first and recognize that life needs to embrace understanding and compassion. Please contact me if help is needed. Have a great school year!
