Welcome to 4th grade! I am Mrs. Whitson, and I am so excited to be teaching ELA and Social Studies this year.  I will be team teaching with Mrs. Martin. 

This is my 13th year teaching but my first at Redcliffe. I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. I graduated from Silver Bluff High School in 2005--Go Bulldogs! I attended the University of South Carolina- Aiken and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education.

I chose to become a teacher because I love making connections with my students and their families.  I always played school as a kid, so when it was time to make a career choice, teaching was at the top of the list. 

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Trent, and we have two beautiful children (Aubrey & Landon).  We also have two dogs and one cat.  My family and I love to go camping in our camper.  We love to visit the beach and the lake.  Flamingos are my favorite animals, and pink is my favorite color.  

I am so excited about the 2023-2024 school year at Redcliffe Elementary.
