    Who We Are:

    The PTO is made up of a group of dedicated, hard-working, enthusiastic Aiken Elementary School (AES) parents, community members and teachers. The PTO is YOU! All parents or guardians of children attending AES, as well as each member of the professional staff are encouraged to participate in PTO’s activities. There are many ways to be involved in the PTO and we are always seeking volunteers. The PTO is comprised of a leadership team and sub-committees who organize the following:


    Cookie Dough Sales

    Fall Festival and Silent Auction

    Change for Change


    Monther/Son Event

    Daddy Daughter Dance


    Some of What We've Accomplished FUNdraising

    The AES community raised $31,419.00 in the 2018-2019 school year. Below are a few examples of how funds were used:

    o   Provide educational and enrichment experiences for all children.

    o   Cover needs from staff and teachers not provided for in the school budget.

    o   Purchase new Playground equipment for the 1st- 3rd grade playgrounds.


    FUNraising Goals For The 2019-2020 Year: 

    This year PTO is fundraising is going towards the Library Book Project.

    Aiken Elementary PTO Mission Statement:

    • The Aiken Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a 501(3)c organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of Aiken Elementary. Its goals are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow, thereby fostering  good relationships between school, parents, teachers, and community.
    • The members of the PTO are all parents/legal guardians/family members, community and professional staff members. All families and staff members are encouraged to participate in PTO activities throughout the year, even if unable to attend meetings. The Leadership Team is composed of PTO members who have volunteered for the positions.
    • The PTO operates on an annual budget, which is approved by the PTO membership vote. All members of the Aiken Elementary School PTO, attending a meeting, have voting privileges for that meeting. The money used to sponsor PTO activities is raised through PTO annual fundraising.
    • The success of the Aiken Elementary School PTO can be measured in the cooperative spirit with which parents and staff work together to share their concern and care for Aiken Elementary School students. The PTO's success can be seen in the student's appreciation for their school, their teachers and the opportunities presented.

    The second Monday of each month at 6:00PM at the school.
