My name is Karen McCall and I have taught middle school math for 24 years.  In need of a change from the regular classroom grind, I decided to become a math interventionist.  In my experience, I have first-hand knowledge of the gaps students leave elementary school with. My job is to help fill in those gaps before they enter middle school.

My philosophy is quite simple... Make sure the basics are mastered.  Without the basics, a student becomes crippled in their math progression.  Learning math is a building process and if you miss one of the steps - you will not reach your potential. I also believe that review and practice is essential.  You can't win a good game - of anything - without proper practice.  I believe that all students can be successful, not all in the same way, but in their own way.
