My name is Christy Heffner. My family and I moved from Maryland to Aiken in 2019. I have twin 18-year-old daughters who graduated from Aiken High in 2022 and a 14-year-old son who is a freshman. One of my daughters is attending Augusta Dental Assistant School, while the other is attending Sweet Briar College in Virginia. My daughters and I ride horses, and my son plays football and basketball.

This is my second year at The Ridge. Last year I taught K-5 Resource at RSM Elementary. This year I am lucky enough to teach at both RSM Elementary and RSM Middle High. Prior to that, I taught Resource, Learning Strategies, and Self-Contained in Williston from 2019-2021.

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in 1994 and a Master of Education in Special Education in 2002. I taught in Maryland from 2002 until 2019, when my family and I moved to Aiken.

This year I will teach 5th grade Resource at RSME and 6th and 7th grade Learning Strategies and Advisory at RSMMH.
