PREPARE FOR FAMILY EMERGENCIES WITH SMART911 - We are fortunate in Aiken County to have access to a free service called SMART911. The service allows families to register their homes and occupants for the purpose of providing law enforcement and first responders with immediate access to life-saving information in the event of a call for help to 911. MEDICAL AND DENTAL SERVICES OFFERED - Rural Health Services has partnered with Redcliffe Elementary School to provide students with dental and medical services on the Clyburn Community Health Express Mobile Unit. This year's CSRA College Night will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the James Brown Arena in Augusta. Area high school students will have a special opportunity to meet recruiters from more than 100 colleges and universities and win scholarships totaling $15,000.
LaCheryl Knox, a bus driver for Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School, was recently named the Bus Driver of the Year by the South Carolina Association for Pupil Transportation.
Matthew Shepler is passionate about working with students and ensuring they meet their potential and realize new possibilities for future success. Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High families are invited to the school’s Open House on Thursday, August 24. The community is invited to drop by from 4:00-6:00 p.m. to meet their new principal and hear about the great things taking place already this school year.
Aiken County Public School District Superintendent King Laurence will retire at the end of the 2023-24 school year, ending his 38-year career as an educator in South Carolina.
