Mr. Hamilton

Welcome to the music page! I am Mr. Hamilton. This is my tenth year at Redcliffe Elementary.

Mr. Hamilton holds the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina-Columbia and the Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Augusta University. He was a member of The Mighty Sound of the Southeast USC Marching band, USC Concert Band member, and various ensembles.

Mr. Hamilton has served ten years at Redcliffe Elementary as general music teacher. During his ten years, he has taught over 1,700 students. Students at Redcliffe have atteded acGATEWAY (Gifted Arts Education) and have performed numerous programs. Also, Mr. Hamilton serves as Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Aiken where he coordinates and leads the sanctuary choir, Carillon Ringers, and childrens choir.  As a trumpet player, Mr Hamilton performs around the CSRA. He holds professional affiliations with the National Association for Music Education, the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, and Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Fraternity for College Bands.

In addition to teaching and directing, Mr. Hamilton has served on curriculum teams for general music for the Aiken County Public School District, creating and organizing resources to teach music literacy and concepts for a diverse student population of 20 elementary schools. He has presented professional development as a part of the Empowering Educators conference and is engaging in leadership opportunities through the Leadership Academy in the ACPSD. 

At Redcliffe, we strive to become better musicians through participation and performance. Encourage your student to take in all the opportunities offered to them in our music program. Music is a universal language and all are encouraged to participate!
