Mr. John Metts
Mr. Metts began his teaching career in 2004 as a third grade teacher at Hammond Hill Elementary School. He continued teaching third and fifth grade until 2013, when he was named the assistant principal at Millbrook Elementary School. From 2015 to 2022, he served as the principal of Millbrook Elementary School.
Mr. Metts is a product of Aiken County Public Schools, having attended Redcliffe Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and graduated from Silver Bluff High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Master’s degree in elementary education from Augusta State University.
He has been nominated twice as Aiken County Public Schools Principal of the Year and is a recipient of the Time to Care About Education award.

Ms. Breanne Creswell
Ms. Breanne Creswell’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina Columbia, a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy Pre-K – Sixth grade from Walden University, and an education specialist degree in Education Administration and Leadership from Clemson University.
She began her career in education in 2002, serving as a middle school teacher. She has taught at Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School and Aiken Elementary School, and has served as a literacy coach at Aiken Elementary School. Before coming to Jefferson Elementary, Ms. Creswell served as a Literacy Coach at Millbrook Elementary School.
