Welcome parents and students,

        The 2022-2023 school year will be my seventh year at Aiken Elementary and my seventh year teaching 5th grade. This will be my 15th year in education.  Wow, time sure flies when you are having fun.  I love teaching.  Before coming to Aiken El, I previously taught 3rd grade for 2 years and 2nd grade for 6 years.  I taught at North Aiken Elementary for 3 years and before that I was living and teaching in Columbia.   I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Elementary Education.  I moved to Aiken 9 years ago with my husband, Murray, my 2 dogs, Remy and Luna, and my cat, Oscar.  My husband also graduated from the University of South Carolina, so we really enjoy going to all the home Gamecock football games.  We also follow the baseball and basketball teams as well.  GO GAMECOCKS!!!  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and being outdoors.  I have two children, Kennedy (5) and  Ethan (3).  I am really looking forward to continuing teaching ELA and social studies for the 2022-2023 school year.
