Ms. Stephanie F. Ramey

As a young child, my wish list for Santa included items I needed for my classroom that was located in the basement of our home. As soon as my younger siblings could sit up and talk, they endured daily lessons of math, english and art.

As a 1976 graduate of NAHS, I steered from my teaching passion and received an Associate's Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Anderson University, and a B.S. in Business from Lander. My business degree led me to an awesome career in retail and medical managment where I earned numerous awards for store sales, inventory contol, and associate training.

In 2007, Principal Kyle Smith called me about an opportunity to teach at my alma mater, NAHS. It was a phone call that changed my life. Today, I teach business classes and share over 30 years of work experience with my students. To be frank, learning never ends, as I earned my Master's in Education from Lesley University in 2014.

It's all about passion, embracing the ups and downs, and allowing your career path to teach you along the way. I will never forget the day when my oldest son Jason (Sgt. Ramey, NAPSD) fought his first house fire as a volunteer fireman. This experience led him to a PSO position and today Sgt. Ramey served North Augusta Public Safety for over 12 years, and is now employed with the Edgefield County Sheriff's Department as a Captain.

Chris, my youngest son was involved in our FBLA chapter at North Augusta. He served as the State Secretary and won 2nd Place in Partnership with Business at our national convention in Anaheim, California. His passion for business and community are evident as he is currently employed as a Global Financial Analyst with Weber-Stephens outside of Chicago.

In my spare time, I play competitive tennis in South Carolina and Georgia and my favorite football team is our "Yellow Jackets".

In closing, this school year will be about changes, but change is evident in anything you do that is worthwhile. We will take this educational journey together, and hopefully discover your passion and create a career path for the future.

Go Jackets!
