Welcome to AIKEN iNNOVATE
The vision of Aiken County Public School District (ACPSD) is to be a premier, world-class school system in which every student acquires an excellent education. To honor this vision and our commitment to excellence in education, AIKEN iNNOVATE provides an online collaborative learning environment that promotes high-quality, personalized learning. AIKEN iNNOVATE 2020-21 is a district-sponsored, online program serving K-12 ACPSD students. Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, AIKEN iNNOVATE will serve 6th-12th grade students only.
ACPSD is an experienced leader in high-quality virtual education. ACPSD is not only the state's largest VirtualSC franchise, we were also the first school District in the state to develop our own virtual program in partnership and as a franchisee of VirtualSC. Through AIKEN iNNOVATE (also referred to as Ai) our District is excited to expand our virtual offerings to include our award-winning Aiken County Virtual Academy (ACVA) for high school students by adding an option for full-time virtual learning at home for 6th through 12th grade students.
Parents/Guardians and students who select AIKEN iNNOVATE as their choice for returning to school can expect to have direct instruction provided virtually by local teachers certified in the specific course and/or grade level. Students will engage in scheduled synchronous virtual meetings, collaborative discussions, and assignments involving interactive resources that are completed at home. While this option for returning to school does offer families some flexibility and comfort of learning at home, it also requires an adult dedicated to partnering with AIKEN iNNOVATE teachers to serve as the student’s guide at home, especially at the elementary and middle levels.
Ai Technology Help Line
Aiken County Public Schools strives to provide the best possible service and support to our parents, guardians and students. With this in mind, the ACPSD Technology Department has implemented a new technical support hotline for AIKEN iNNOVATE parents, guardians and students to call with technology issues related to recently distributed District devices.
Assistance provided by the new Ai Support Line will include device hardware issues, email and password issues, and problems with internet access. District staff will be available by phone to assist Ai parents, guardians, and students during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday with the exception of District-observed holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: All issues other than those specifically related to District devices distributed to Ai families should be directed to the student’s home school. The Ai Support Line phone number is 803-641-2642.
