Ms. Meribeth Ihnen
This will be my first year teaching ESOL at Midland Valley. I am very excited to be embarking on this new journey and helping students reach their full potential. I have been at MVHS for 5 years. I previously taught the SC High School Credential program. I hold certification in both Georgia and South Carolina. This year marks my 30th year of teaching and I still love my job. I am proud to be a Midland Valley Mustang!
I grew up in Tennessee and I am a diehard Volunteers fan. I taught for 19 years in Florida where my children were born and went to school. I am married (for 34 years) and have 2 grown children, 4 grand-daughters, and 1 grand dog. My son is an attorney in Knoxville, Tennessee where he and his wife and girls live. My daughter works in the Service Industry in Aiken. She and her 2 children recently moved to Aiken and live with my husband and me. We are thrilled to have our girls at home. I have 2 dachsunds named Dudley and Dooley. I spoil them rotten. My daughter brought a cat with her so now I have a cat named Piper as well. Piper and the dogs get along wonderfully. When I am not teaching, my husband and I enjoy spending time at home and watching college football, Survivor, Big Brother, and Nascar races.
