Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Amelia Groza

My name is Amelia Groza, and I’ve been teaching French for the past 16 years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in French and English, and I have a Master's degree in Education Administration and a Doctor's degree in Philology. I am originally from Romania, but have lived in the US since 2005.

I have always dreamed of being a teacher. When I was little, I remember that my parents would have to clean the doors quite often because I was practicing my teaching skills by writing on them as you would write on a board. English was the first world language I learned, starting in second grade. French was the second, starting in fourth grade. I developed a real passion for the French language and culture while in high school. I learned French in an immersion program, only to have come to “dream, laugh and live” in French, and love it!

I also like to travel, read, take photos, do crafts and last, but not least, spend time with my little family. My toddler keeps my husband and I busy while at home, and it is a true joy to be around him.

The 2020-2021 school year has been a blast! I enjoyed getting to know and work with each of my students, both virtually and in-person. I hope this summer is full of travels, rest and making memories along friends and family, in the US and abroad.

That being said, I'm looking forward to a fabulous 2021-2022 school year!
