acGATEWAY APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED: ATTENTION ALL VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS STUDENTS! The application for the acGATEWAY summer arts program is now available via the following link: https://www.acpsd.net/Page/29075 - or by visiting Ms. MacGregor in room E110. Any student who is passionate about visual art, dance, theater, creative writing, instrumental music, or vocal music is encouraged to apply. Please see Ms. MacGregor with any questions!

COMMUNITY MEMBERS INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN FCCLA'S No Degree Needed Career Night: We would like to invite community members, business owners, and entrepreneurs to participate in FCCLA's "No Degree Needed Career Night!!" The focus of our career night is on jobs that would not require a 4-year degree. For example: Jobs that might only need an associate degree, certificates from a trade school, or even an apprenticeship or internship that could lead to something more. We will be running the career night on Tuesday, December 5th, from 4:30 to 7:00 (set up between 4:00 and 4:30). We would like to do 1 or 2 Q+ A sessions at 5:30 and/or 6:30, and a resume workshop at 6:00 for creating resumes, and resume feedback throughout the night. Aiken County School District Awarded Aiken High School a Certificate of Achievement. This award recognized Students, Teachers, and Administrative Leadership Team for receiving a Excellent rating in the College and Career Readiness category - placing AHS in the top 20% of all South Carolina High Schools in College and Career Readiness in the 2022-23 Academic Year!

Busbee Elementary, Corbett Middle, Wagener-Salley High, & Ridge Spring-Monetta's K-12 Campus To Transition Phone Numbers
Busbee Elementary, A.L. Corbett Middle, Wagener-Salley High, and Ridge Spring-Monetta’s K-12 campus will begin transitioning to new phone numbers, which are active now. Existing numbers are also still active, and will be phased out by December 1 of this year.

Aiken County's Schools Make Progress In School Performance: 90% Meet & Exceed Criteria To Ensure All Students Meet The Profile Of The SC Graduate
South Carolina’s State Department of Education has released 2022-2023 School Report Card ratings which highlight student performance information and other elements of school quality and effectiveness. Aiken County’s Chief Instructional Officer Dr. Amy Edwards celebrated the progress being made within the district’s schools during the regularly scheduled meeting of the school board on October 24, 2023.

CSRA College Night | September 14, 2023
This year's CSRA College Night will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the James Brown Arena in Augusta. Area high school students will have a special opportunity to meet recruiters from more than 100 colleges and universities and win scholarships totaling $15,000.

Ridge-Spring Monetta Bus Driver Named South Carolina Bus Driver Of The Year
LaCheryl Knox, a bus driver for Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School, was recently named the Bus Driver of the Year by the South Carolina Association for Pupil Transportation.
