Ms. Janice Kitchings

Janice Kitchings serves as Executive Director of Elementary Schools for the Aiken County Public School District. 

She is responsible for goal setting, planning, organizing, coordinating, decision-making and communicating with district office administration and school-based personnel.  Ms. Kitchings also serves on the Superintendent’s leadership team.   

Ms. Kitchings brings over 31 years of educational experience to the profession. She has worked at the elementary and middle school levels as a teacher, Lead Teacher/Curriculum Coordinator, a Teacher Specialist on Site through the S.C. State Department of Education, a SCRI Reading Coach, and an Elementary  Principal.   Ms. Kitchings is very passionate about providing the best education possible for our students.

Mrs. Laurie Pack Reese

Laurie Reese is the Executive Director for Elementary Schools for the Aiken County Public School District.

She is responsible for administering and supervising the educational programs for nine of the district’s 20 elementary schools. 

Mrs. Reese has more than 26 years of educational experience working with the Aiken County Public School District. She taught grades three and five for twelve years and was named Teacher of the Year on two occasions. Mrs. Reese served as an assistant principal for eight years and school principal for five years prior to being named Executive Director for Elementary Schools for the district in 2014. 

She serves the Aiken County community as facilitator of the North Augusta  Service Network and Advisory Board member for the North Augusta branch of the Megiddo Dream Station.

Mrs. Joy Shealy

Joy Shealy serves as the Executive Director of Middle Schools for the Aiken County Public School District. 
                                              
She ensures that the policies, procedures, and initiatives of the School Board related to middle school education are advanced in a safe, orderly, and purposeful environment on all middle school campuses.  

Over the last 32 years, in addition to being an Executive Director, Mrs. Shealy has also served as a high school and elementary school special education and gifted and talented teacher, a middle school assistant principal, a middle school and elementary school principal, and an assistant superintendent for Area 1 and Area 4.

With a focus on providing world class knowledge and skills to all students,  Mrs. Shealy is honored to serve with administrators, teachers, and staff who are dedicated to supporting excellence in all middle school students

Mr. Alvin Pressley

Alvin Pressley serves as the Executive Director of Middle Schools for the Aiken County Public School District. 

Mr. Pressley supervises seven high schools, the District’s career center, and a middle school.

He has extensive experience in educational leadership at the classroom and school levels in a career covering two decades.

Prior to working for the District, he served as a high school teacher, assistant principal, academic dean and most recently as a building principal at W.J. Keenan High School in Columbia, South Carolina.

Academic achievement has been at the forefront of his career as an administrator. As a principal, Pressley led efforts to address areas of weakness in his schools that saw an overall increase in student achievement for eight consecutive years, including winning a prestigious Palmetto Gold Award.

He began working for Aiken County in July 2017 and is committed to the success of all students and employees at the secondary level.
