TESTING SCHEDULE - Students should be well rested and be on time for school in order to have the stamina to focus and complete individual exams. Breakfast will be served at school.

8th Grade Dance - 8th Grade Dance is Luau themed and will take place June 2nd, 6-8pm. Dance tickets are $20 and will be sold by PTO via the canteen on May 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, & 30th. Only JMS 8th grade students can attend the dance.

ONLINE REGISTRATION/UPLOADING FORMS - Aiken County Public Schools' online student registration for all new and returning students is underway.
For parents of new students in grades 1-12 click on "How to Enroll" for detailed registration instructions. Parents and guardians of new students, those who are applying to Pre-Kindergarten programs and incoming Kindergarten students should click on the words "New Student Registration & 4K Applications" to be directed to the new student registration page.
For parents and guardians of all returning students, the best way to register online is to click on the words "PowerSchool Parent Portal" to access the link to online registration, which will be located at the bottom left of the page. Simply click the “Returning Student Registration" link to get started.
Parents who need to set up a Parent Portal account during the summer should reach out to our bookkeeper, Wendi Stikeleather at wstikeleather@acpsd.net for information on how to access the parent portal account, ask questions, or need assistance uploading forms.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR - Online student registration is now open for new and returning students for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. With next year’s planned implementation of the modified academic school year calendar, students return on July 25. Parents/guardians are encouraged to register their student(s) for the upcoming school year as early as possible.
Detailed information and instructions for registration for both new and returning students can be found on our website’s Registration Hub at www.acpsd.net/register. Information for registering students for 5K/Kindergarten and applying for 4K/PreKindergarten can also be accessed via this Registration Hub.

Students Participate in Art Show
Jackson’s interdisciplinary approach to STEM learning encompasses self-directed student learning in various areas. Some exemplars of such are on display right now at the Aiken Center of the Arts. Congratulations to our talented students and their art teacher, Mrs. Dawn Wiggins.

Spelling Bee Semi-Finals
Dorian Heim and Aden Coates will represent Area 5 at the Aiken County District Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals on February 6, 2023. Dorian will also represent the School and Area 5 at the Carolina Panthers Spelling Been Regional Championship on March 4, 2023.

Kyle Davis has been named assistant principal at Byrd Elementary School for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. He has served in the role on an interim basis since October, and the school board approved his official appointment during their regularly-scheduled meeting Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Badillo Named Assistant Principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the Upcoming 2023-24 School Year
Eliezer ‘Eli’ Badillo has been named as an assistant principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. His appointment as an assistant principal for the District’s new middle school was approved during the regular meeting of the Aiken County Board of Education on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Lehman Named Assistant Principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the Upcoming 2023-24 School Year
Lehman currently serves as a Social Studies teacher at North Augusta High School. His appointment as assistant principal for the District’s new middle school was approved during the regular meeting of the Aiken County Board of Education on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
