Mrs. Shannon Lorier

I am a life long lover of all things sports. Growing up and in high school I participated on several different teams (tennis, softball, track, and basketball). I played basketball in college as well. Beyond my school years I have also enjoyed running, biking, swimming, hiking, flag football, and badminton just to name a few. Though it has been a big part of my life, I do not believe you need to consider yourself an "athlete" to enjoy physical activity. I am convinced that physical activity is a good thing for us all and that being physically active will contribute to the whole health of a person. My desire to teach PE is driven by this belief. I hope to give kids at a young age a positive experience in PE that will help them see the value of being physically active throughout their life time. I also hope to help them discover physical activity that they actually enjoy! I think this is a key motivator if you are going to be active for a life time.

I am also a wife and mom. I have been married to my husband, Troy, for 14 years. We have three kids Simeon, Scout , and Jake. I was a stay at home mom for 9 years and this is my 2nd year back as a PE teacher. We are very involved in our church and kids sports teams. As a family, we all enjoy the outdoors and being active together.

I look forward to teaching YOU!
