Mrs. Calyan Cook
Welcome to 7th Grade English
I am certified to teach English in grades 7-12 and Theatre in grades K-12 in both South Carolina and Georgia. I actually started my teaching career in Theatre and have loved every minute of it. I graduated from USC Aiken in 2013 with a Bachelors in Theatre and worked for Apple before moving into the teaching world. My hobbies are reading, writing, drinking coffee, playing around with technology, running, cycling and performing/directing in theatrical productions. This is my fifth year as a teacher and my first year teaching in an all virtual setting. I am so excited for this school year and to meet all my students.
I can't wait to have an awesome year together and I look foward to fostering an environment where every student finds enjoyment in learning, feels respected and cares for one another.
You can find me on Instagram @mrscookkms where I'll post videos/graphics to keep you updated on ELA skills.
