Special Education-Early Childhood Early Childhood

Miss Michelle Holthaus

Hello, my name is Michelle Hothaus and I will be teaching first grade virtually for Aiken Innovate for the 2020-2021 school year. Some fun facts about me are that I love to run and hike. I love learning about new trails to explore and there are so many beautiful ones in South Carolina. I also love to read, spend time with my dog, play the piano, travel, and just hang out with friends and family as much as I can. Lastly, my passion is teaching, especially teaching students to read. My goal every year is for my students to love reading as much or more than me.

This year will be my fourth year teaching at Redcliffe Elementary and my third year in first grade. I am originally from a little town called Fort Loramie, Ohio. I went to Bowling Green State University in Ohio to get my Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive early childhood. I can't wait to see what is in store for this new year. I am really excited to teach online and learn new ways to engage my students in online courses!

Even though I will be teaching online, I will be at Redcliffe Elementary school everyday and can be reached at (803) 827-3350 or you can email me at mholthaus@acpsd.net. My office hours are Monday-Thursday from 1:30-2:30 and Fridays from 11:00-12:00. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I want to make this year as easy, on parents and students, as possible!
