2021 acGATEWAY - Is your child gifted in the arts? If so, acGateway might be a program to consider! acGateway is a gifted and talented program for students in visual and performing arts. It is open to students in grades 3-12. Please carefully read the following information and click the link below to take you to the online application.

Saturday Jan 30 - Auditions held at Kennedy Middle School
Monday February 8th - Audition results released via mail
Monday March 8th - "Permission to attend" paperwork due virtually via the district website
Wednesday June 16th – First Day for Students!
Monday July 5th - Off for Independence Day
Tuesday July 13th – Elementary Showcase at 7:00 pm / Last day for Elementary
Wednesday July 21st – Middle/High Showcase at 7:00 pm
Thursday July 22nd – Middle/High program ends – half day – dismissal at 12:00 pm

Please be advised that students who were accepted into last year's program are not required to reaudition even though the program was cancelled. Any student who has been accepted in the past does not need to audition again. All students must apply though.
NEW HHE LIBRARY PROCEDURE : PLACING A HOLD REQUEST - During this time, students at HHE are unable to browse for books in the HHE Library Media Center. So that students may check out books of their choosing, students may now place a Hold Request for a library book. The book/s will be checked out to the student then delivered to his/her classroom. Students in grades K-2 may check out one book at a time. Students in grades 3-5 may check out two books at a time. Each student may place up to three books on hold. District Announces 1:1 Technology Initiative, ‘Learning Virtually Everywhere’ as Device Distributions Continue
The initiative, which began recently with initial device distributions at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School, Wagener-Salley High School, and Silver Bluff High School, will eventually place technology devices with all ACPSD students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Local Organizations and Community Volunteers Partner in Donation of Masks to Aiken County Public Schools
The Boy Scouts of America’s Scout Troop 7G out of North Augusta and MasksNow SC are already giving in the spirit of the season to supply masks to students.
Board Approves Return to Remote and Hybrid Learning Due to Increase in Covid-19 Quarantines, Substitute Shortage
The Board unanimously approved a return to remote learning for all face-to-face students beginning November 23, 2020, and continuing through November 25, 2020.
