What Is a School Improvement Council?
In South Carolina, a School Improvement Council is an advisory council to the principal and school on
issues related to school improvement. By law, every K-12 public school in South Carolina must have
an SIC that is made up of parent, teacher, student
(grades 9-12), and community member representatives.
The principal is an ex-officio member of every
SIC. An SIC may create additional ex-officio positions
such as the school’s Teacher of the Year, PTA or PTO
President, past SIC Chair, or a representative of the
school’s Title I Advisory Committee. Please use the form link below to nominate yourself or someone else for the Greendale School Improvement Council.

This year our Title I meetings will be conducted virtually. Please complete the survey using the link below to provide us with your feedback. Thank you for your participation.

DISTRICT REMINDER REGARDING DO-NOT-PHOTO/VIDEO PARENT REQUESTS
Aiken County Public School District procedures regarding do-not-photo/video requests state that each new school year during the school registration process, parents who wish to “opt out” their children from participation in photo or video opportunities at school must submit that request in writing to the ACPSD Communications Department.
The letter should be addressed to Director of Communications Mike Rosier at 1000 Brookhaven Drive, Aiken SC, 29803. It should state which student or students they wish the request to include, as well as their home school location or locations.
PLEASE NOTE: If no letter is on file, students are automatically opted in for photo, video, and media opportunities in our schools as they arise.
We welcome parents who wish to opt their children out of all photos and videos to submit a letter to us at any point prior to the end of October.

Although PTO’s participation in the school will look different this year we are still in need of your help with important decisions this school year. This school year we need to hold an election for a new PTO board. If you would like to be a part of the board and making the PTO here at Greendale great we look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Ms. Aisha Bey at 803-652-8170 or abey@acpsd.net with your name and desired position.
