Our Vision for North Augusta High School is to engage ALL students in the world class knowledge and skills needed to successfully realize their post-secondary goals through the development and implementation of relevant college and career readiness pathways.
UNIT RECOVERY FOR MASTERY -
North Augusta High School is providing “Unit Recovery for Mastery” for students who have failed a course or have excessive absences for Quarter 1. Completion of this program allows your child to pass the 1st quarter of the course with a mastery grade of 60 and earn 12 recovery hours for attendance.
State Attendance Requirements allow for only 10 absences per class under these categories: UNEX, UNEX-PN, SKIP, DSML. Please review your child’s attendance in your Parent Powerschool Portal. If you count more than 5 absences per class in these categories (UNEX, UNX-PN, SKIP, DSML) we would recommend that you register your child for recovery.
When you register your child for Quarter 1 Recovery using the link below, you will first choose the primary course your child will work in for attendance or credit.
- Attendance Recovery hours will be credited to as many class periods as possible, regardless of the course you choose. If your child did not fail a course, you will choose the course you feel your student needs to work on the most.
- For Content Recovery, choose the course your child failed for quarter 1. (60 is passing)
You may select a second course for content recovery. Since there are only four Saturdays for recovery, your child may not be able to recover more than one class for a passing grade, but we will put them in the second class if the first class is completed in time.https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=LTBu-BNw9EGZhxwTXOQTK6uPpMkg93RKj9UV6i7OKCpUMlpHWFlDS1M3UDZaUDFFUEQwTDE4T05ZNS4u• Students are expected to arrive by 8:30 AM and leave the campus by 11:45 AM. • Students will abide by the ACPSD Code of Conduct. • Students are required to attend all four Saturdays. Students will not be excused early for completion and will be assigned test prep work. • Students will be required to complete all coursework by November 27th • Saturday School teachers will email parents progress reports each Saturday. Unit Recovery for Mastery will be held on the following Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM: October 29, November 5, 12, and 19.
