  • 2018 acGATEWAY Application Aiken County’s Gifted & Talented Education with Artistic Youth

    2018 acGateway is open to CURRENT students in grades 3-12 and is a wonderful opportunity for your child! acGateway is catered to students who excel in the visual and performing arts. The program offers drama, creative writing, dance, music, and visual arts. Creative writing is only open to middle and high school students. Students will spend four to five weeks completely immersed in their arts area.

    Students who have just completed grades 9-11 will receive one unit honors fine arts credit towards high school graduation for their work in acGateway. This credit can only be awarded once. acGateway is a high-paced program, where students accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Classes are intense and require focus and dedication.

  • You Can't Take It With You - Drama Club Production

     The play is called You Can't Take It With You, and it is an American comedy.  The play is on Friday, December 8th at 7:30. Saturday, December 9th 2 7:30, and Sunday, December 10th at 2:30. Tickets are $5.00 for students and senior citizens and $7.00 for adults.

  • Tutoring Available - Update!

    A school-wide Peer Tutoring Program run by the NJROTC Unit in conjunction with National Honor Society, Math, and Science Clubs is now in progress.  Tutoring sessions will be held the first half of Power Hour in the Media Center with the following schedule:

    Monday – Math and Science

    Wednesday – English 

    Any South Aiken student needing assistance is welcome to stop by for tutoring or to get more information about receiving help in a specific class.  There will be sign-ups available through NJROTC. For additional subject areas or times (if you cannot come during the regularly scheduled time), you can fill out a Tutoring Form from the SAHS Homepage or scan this QR Code.

  • Just one of two instructional days lost to Hurricane Irma is being made up this first quarter, delaying the end of the first nine weeks by one day as well as the distribution of report cards. Accordingly the first nine weeks will fall on October 27 (instead of October 26) and report cards will be distributed November 1 (not October 31 as previously planned).
