  • ALL SPORTS BOOSTER CLUB MEETING: The AHS All Sports Booster Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6:00 in the cafeteria. All are invited to attend.

    CAREER CENTER APPLICATIONS: Career Center Applications are due Friday, December 11th.  Please click HERE to print an application or pick one up in the School Counseling Office.

    HYBRID LEARNING RETURNS: High school face-to-face students will return to a hybrid schedule with Blue student cohorts beginning Monday, Nov. 30 and Red student cohorts beginning Wednesday, December 2. Hybrid schedule will continue through December 18.  

    FCCLA FOOD AND CLOTHING DRIVE: FCCLA is sponsoring a non-perishable food and clothing drive.  Clothes and food can be dropped off to Mrs. Gorthy in Room D101 from 11:30am - 1:00pm: Monday - Friday.

    MAKE UP SCHOOL PICTURES: Makeup School Pictures will be Monday, November 30 in the Aiken High Media Center.

    PET FOOD AND TOY DRIVE: Mrs. Ghrist’s 4th period health science class is sponsoring a pet food and toy drive. If you are interested in donating items to give to the animal shelters around Aiken County  visit the posters around the school or the AHS Instagram page. 

    PTSO MEETING: The PTSO will meet on December 1 in the Media Center beginning at 6:30pm. All are welcome.

    SENIORS: Senior Superlative ballots are due by December 1st. Your senior ILT teacher has the form. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Pataro in Room C258.

    VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTISTS: Applications for ACGATEWAY summer arts program is now available via the district website under gifted and talented. Please see Ms. Macgregor in E110 if you have any questions.

  • DISTRICT REMINDER REGARDING DO-NOT-PHOTO/VIDEO PARENT REQUESTS : Aiken County Public School District procedures regarding do-not-photo/video requests state that each new school year during the school registration process, parents who wish to “opt out” their children from participation in photo or video opportunities at school must submit that request in writing to the ACPSD Communications Department.   

    The letter should be addressed to Director of Communications Mike Rosier at 1000 Brookhaven Drive, Aiken SC, 29803. It should state which student or students they wish the request to include, as well as their home school location or locations.   

    PLEASE NOTE: If no letter is on file, students are automatically opted in for photo, video, and media opportunities in our schools as they arise.   

    We welcome parents who wish to opt their children out of all photos and videos to submit a letter to us at any point prior to the end of October.

  • 2021 HORNET YEARBOOK IS ON SALE:  You can order your yearbook online HERE or you can come to room # C-258 and pick up an order form from Ms. Pataro.

  • Felton Honored in Region and Augusta Chronicle

    RJ Felton made an impact the game every time he stepped on the court for Aiken High School. Even if he wasn’t scoring, he’d get a rebound and get into transition. If teams collapsed on him, he’d add to his assist total.

  • AHS Jazz Band Shines

    AHS Jazz Band receives superior ratings. The Jazz Performance Assessment was held at Newberry College, Newberry SC on February 29th, 2020. The Jazz Band received a Superior Rating for their performance, the highest rating awarded. The AHS jazz band is pictured with world famous trombone player Steve Wiest, who was the guest artist for the clinic this year.
