  • PREPARE FOR FAMILY EMERGENCIES WITH SMART911 - We are fortunate in Aiken County to have access to a free service called SMART911. The service allows families to register their homes and occupants for the purpose of providing law enforcement and first responders with immediate access to life-saving information in the event of a call for help to 911. During an actual emergency, first responders will have this vital information relayed to them before they arrive. Signing up is fast, easy, and free! Click HERE to view the SMART911 flyer for some great safety tips for students, or visit online at for more information.

Message from Ms. Gamble

  • Welcome to North Augusta Middle School (NAMS)!

We are committed to providing our students with opportunities and experiences that enhance their academic achievement, social/emotional growth and address personal interest.

We have expanded our academic options to include advanced courses in all core subjects (ELA/English, Math, Science, Social Studies), in all grade levels (6-8).  In addition to advanced courses, students have opportunities to explore their personal interest through a variety of activities to include our schoolwide science fair, math counts and/or the math counts video competition, Literacy Night, National Geographic Bee, Future City Team and Academic Team to name a few.   We are also excited to expand student opportunities in the field of technology with online courses in keyboarding and computer applications, Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Gateway Computer Science for Innovators and Makers and teams for Robotics and Cyber Patriot.

NAMS also offers excellent opportunities in the arts, to include visual art, band, chorus, orchestra, guitar, theatre and general music.  Students in 7th & 8th grade can also participate in athletics at NAMS (football, volleyball, basketball, golf) or try out for other sports at North Augusta H.S.

Our desire is to partner with our parents and the community to educate the whole child.  We value the talents and time of our parents and community members and offer a variety of meaningful opportunites for school and community engagement.

At NAMS, we recognize that it takes great school/ home relations to ensure the success of each child.  A few simple ways to support your child’s academic success is to ensure that he/she is at school and on time each day, provide a place for him/her to study and complete homework/ assignments, check teacher webpages to remain aware of assignments and due dates, and communicate with school personnel.  Our faculty and staff at NAMS are committed to impacting the future by providing our students with a quality education.

I look forward to an awesome year at NAMS!!
    Phyllis Gamble
