  • THEATRE RESIDENCY: Are you interested in theatre/drama and would like to show off your talent onstage? Porkchop Productions will be at NEMS for a residency March 13th - March 16th. Please see Dr. Fontanez for a permission form and details. A limited amount of students will be accepted so please sign up if interested before all spots are taken! Applications are due by this Friday!

  • FIRST QUARTER ENERGY SAVINGS CHAMPIONS: New Ellenton Middle STEAM Magnet School had the lowest per square foot energy costs out of ALL middle/secondary schools during the first quarter! We received a trophy, banner, Friday blue jeans passess for all employees for second quarter, recognition on the District website. Keep up the great work for second quarter!

NEMS has 3 teachers collecting, each for something different - Mrs. Fontanez is collecting for art supplies, Mrs. Glessner is collecting to help those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma as well as for the library, and Mrs. Matthews is collecting to help get virtual reality equipment!
