My name is Stephanie Chapman, and I am thrilled to be the new Band Director at NAMS!

I have been teaching band for 11 years. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated in 2008 from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. During my time at UA I received many honors, including principal clarinetist in the Wind Ensemble and Drum Major of The Million Dollar Band. Since that time, I have worked many jobs in the music field. Most recently, I was the Director of Bands at Merriwether Middle School. My ensembles have consistently received excellent and superior ratings at the Alabama Music Performance Assessment (MPA) and the South Carolina Concert Performance Assessment (CPA). 

Aside from teaching, I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with my husband Nathan and two children, David (9) and Anna (5).
