  • Welcome to Aiken Intermediate School - We are so excited to welcome you to Aiken Intermediate School (AIS), a unique learning environment that was created to meet the social, emotional and academic goals of our sixth-grade students as they transition from elementary school to middle school! 

    We look forward to welcoming rising sixth grade students from Aiken Elementary, North Aiken Elementary, J.D. Lever Elementary, Chukker Creek Elementary, East Aiken School of the Arts, Oakwood-Windsor Elementary and Millbrook Elementary.

  • Entries for the 2021 MLK ESSAY CONTEST are due December 4th:  We're excited to share that all Aiken County Public School students have an opportunity to submit a poster or essay for the community-wide celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., hosted by Aiken Technical College and the University of South Carolina Aiken! Thank you to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Steering Committee and the University of SC Aiken’s Inclusion Advisory Council for inviting our students to submit an essay answering, “What does it mean when Dr. King said, 'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere’?”.   • Application Deadline for 2021 acGateway is December 4th:  acGateway is open to CURRENT students in grades 3-12 and is an intensive summer arts opportunity for your child!  The program is designed to serve students who excel in the visual and performing arts. The program offers theater, creative writing, dance, music, and visual arts. Creative writing is only open to middle and high school students. To apply, click HERE.

  • FREE School Meals Waiver for All Students: Aiken County Public Schools’ Food Services Department is excited to announce a new meal ordering service for students who attend the hybrid model of instruction or Aiken iNNOVATE. The waiver lasts through December 31st or until funds are depleted.
