SPELLING BEE - The AIS Spelling Bee will be Friday, December 6th, in the Media Center at 1:15. Parents are welcomed to attend.

PICTURE PROOFS - School picture proofs were sent home Monday, November 25th, you can purchase these pictures online or bring money on makeup day to the photographer at 8:00 in the media center on Friday, December 6th.
MAKEUP PICTURE DAY - Makeup Picture Day is Friday, Dec. 6th, makeup picture day is for students who were absent, new to the school, or who didn't like their first picture.

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PLAN - Individual Learning Plan appointments are designed to give parents of all 6th and 7th grade students across the district the opportunity to meet with a counselor AND their student to:
* Discuss how the current year is going (grades, behavior, concerns, etc...)
* Make a plan to finish the year strong
* Begin the conversation about the student's plans for life beyond high school
For your convenience, appointments may be conducted in person OR by phone. After school appointments are available upon request. Please use the link below to choose a date and time that works with your schedule.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Click on the box of the slot you would like AND then click on the box at the bottom that says "Submit and Sign Up." PLEASE ask your student when their lunch time is and avoid scheduling during that time.

AIKEN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL ADDRESS - AIS has a new address to coincide with the 2019-2020 start of our school. We are Aiken Intermediate School 'Home of the Explorers', and our new address is 687 Explorer Trail, Aiken SC, 29801.

WELCOME TO AIKEN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL - We are so excited to welcome you to Aiken Intermediate School (AIS), a unique learning environment that was created to meet the social, emotional and academic goals of our sixth-grade students as they transition from elementary school to middle school!
We look forward to welcoming rising sixth grade students from Aiken Elementary, North Aiken Elementary, J.D. Lever Elementary, Chukker Creek Elementary, East Aiken School of the Arts, Oakwood-Windsor Elementary and Millbrook Elementary.

MEDICAL AND DENTAL SERVICES OFFERED - Rural Health Services has partnered with Aiken Intermediate School to provide students with dental and medical services on the Clyburn Community Health Express Mobile Unit. Registration forms can be obtained on the Nursing Services section of Aiken County Public School District's website. For more information please contact the school nurse or call (803) 219-1926.
