Dual Enrollment Applicants
The application session for Aiken Tech's Early Start (Dual Enrollment) Cybersecurity & MADD students will be held at Aiken County Career & Technology Center (ACCTC) in our multipurpose room (near the main office/front of school) on Tuesday, February 22nd from 5:30pm-6:30pm. We are requesting that one (1) parent/guardian attend with the student due to space and COVID protocol. During this session, the student will complete his/her application for admissions to Aiken Technical College. Students will need to make sure that they bring the following:
- Social Security Card or Number (for application purposes)
- Parent/Guardian who will need to be present to complete a form
- Any questions they may have

Saylar (Health Science) awarded NTHS Jon H. Poteat Scholarship!NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. For over 35 years, NTHS has been the leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. The Jon H. Poteat Scholarship is named in honor and memory of the NTHS Co-Founder. It is awarded annually to NTHS members who consistently exemplify the seven attributes of the National Technical Honor Society – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership. We are pleased to award a one-thousand dollar Jon H. Poteat Scholarship to Saylar Barton, ACCTC Health Science Senior.

DISTRICT-WIDE REMINDER REGARDING PHOTO AND VIDEO OPT OUT - Aiken County Public School District procedures regarding do-not-photo/video requests state that each new school year during the school registration process, parents who wish to “opt out” their children from participation in photo or video opportunities at school must submit that request in writing to the ACPSD Communications Department.
The letter should be addressed to Director of Communications, Mike Rosier, at 1000 Brookhaven Drive, Aiken SC, 29803. It should state which student or students they wish the request to include, as well as their home school location or locations.
PLEASE NOTE: If no letter is on file, students are automatically opted in for photo, video, and media opportunities in our schools as they arise.
We welcome parents who wish to opt their children out of all photos and videos to submit a letter to us at any point prior to the end of October.

In addition to GEM (Giving Even More), Teacher of the Year, First Year Teacher of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year, and Principal of the Year, the district will introduce a Professional Staff Member of the Year Award as well as a District Level Administrator of the Year Award.
First year teachers and educators new to Aiken County were greeted by district leaders at a cookout ahead of their first Induction meeting of the school year.
Students Achieve High Honors and National Recognition through Aiken High School's Cambridge International Program
Aiken High School students are recognized for their outstanding academic achievements as the school's Cambridge International Program continues to grow.
Over 90 colleges and universities are expected at the James Brown Arena to share opportunities with CSRA students. Plus, $10,000 in scholarships will be awarded.
