  • PEACHJAR REMINDER- We've transitioned from the distribution of paper flyers to a paperless electronic flyer system that allows us to send school and community flyers and other information directly home to you, our parents.  Please see our website, http://www.acpsd.net/Domain/26 for flyers and other information, or simply check your email as flyers are also sent via our e-flyer partner Peachjar to the email address we have on file for you.  If connectivity is not available in your home, please notify us.  Paper flyers can be made available to you.

  • MAKE UP DAYS ANNOUNCED FOR LOST INSTRUCTIONAL TIME - February 20 and March 17 have been named as the additional make-up days for instructional time missed due to inclement weather during first semester (September 2 due to Tropical Storm Hermine and October 5-7 because of Hurricane Matthew and Aiken County serving as an emergency shelter for coastal evacuees). We apologize, in advance, to staff members, students and families for the change to our calendar and any inconvenience that it may cause.

  • BACKPACK PROGRAM- Every Friday, volunteers stuff various food items into the backpacks of some of our students as a supplement to their weekend meals to ensure that they come to school on Monday ready to learn!! Aiken El relies on the generosity of Churches such as Millbrook Elementary, St. Thaddeus, Levels Baptist Church, St Paul's, Greater Ministries and Kingdom Harvest Worship Center in the form of juice boxes, crackers, canned fruit and vegetables and breakfast items to sustain the backpack program. Recently, we received a truckload of goodies that will help to provide food for around 50 of our students throughout the year. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL!!!

If you, or your church, are interested in helping our backpack program by donating food items, please contact Keisha Uhle, our school counselor, to find out how you can help!!"
