A Word FromDr. Murphy

Dr. Corey Murphy Superintendent

With the public release of state report cards on November 4, 2025, I want to take this opportunity to celebrate each and every teacher, student, administrator, and staff member for the contributions you continue to make each day. We have much to celebrate in Aiken County and with your continued dedication to teaching and learning, we will continue to grow.

We have seven excellent schools this year, and no unsatisfactory schools in Aiken County. Of particular note, 45% of ACPSD schools increased an entire proficiency category.

  • 48% of elementary schools increased a proficiency rating as compared to 25% across elementary schools in the state.

  • 50% of our middle schools increased a proficiency category as compared to 33% of middle schools across the state.

  • 88% of our high schools earned a good/excellent college and career readiness rating as compared to 75% across the state.

  • Nearly 60% of our schools had a good/excellent climate rating, and the District’s overall climate rating exceeded the state average.

Each of you contributed to these accomplishments, and I want to thank you for your continued dedication to our students.

We are so proud of our growth and looking forward to even greater things ahead!
